Myanmar

Cameras for Asia first began in Myanmar in 2009 when I visited an orphanage my church was supporting. From there, the program was birthed and has returned every year (at least until 2019) to visit a youth centre, kindergarten, school (and its teachers), to join in children’s programs, a HIV centre, street children, and more.

I also visited areas in the far north of the country where there were large numbers of internally displaced people (IDPs), but most programs centre on Yangon for practical reasons.
