Cameras for Asia first began in Myanmar in 2009 when I visited an orphanage my church was supporting. From there, the program was birthed and has returned every year (at least until 2019) to visit a youth centre, kindergarten, school (and its teachers), to join in children’s programs, a HIV centre, street children, and more.
I also visited areas in the far north of the country where there were large numbers of internally displaced people (IDPs), but most programs centre on Yangon for practical reasons.
As Cameras for Asia is not currently able to visit Myanmar and run programs, support is sent in other ways. To help, please consider purchase of products offered through Cameras for Asia.
